He played on November 14 at 1024 hrs. Although this is at the MCAS Miramar military base, the public is welcome. Short review: Come play for the HORRIBLE greens that you usually pay big bucks for and don't take comfortable or rough too seriously. Easy, flat course to have a good time. Long review: check in was easy, and the course was very busy (as expected) on a Saturday basis. We came out on time, but we played after a tough four. However, we still completed 4 hours 35 minutes! Now the time is running. THE GREENS: Miramar has always been known for great greens, and it doesn't disappoint! Probably the best greens in San Diego. Super soft, semi-soft, not too fast and not too much. Hardly the ball will make the mark. FAIRWAYS & RUGS: This is always Miramar's downfall, but it's still not too bad in my opinion. They have naked markets for almost every hole, but they also have plenty of spots for every hole. The rough pan sometimes gets a little harder if you're off the line, but it's all still playable. Likewise, there are some places where there is a bit of marsh but that is few and far between. He never had a really bad lie all day. TEE BOXES: Overall, the tee boxes were average, some better, some a little subpar. Nothing that affected my tee shots though. BUNKER: They were in really good shape!! It looks like a hoe in the morning, and all fresh sand from what I've seen. I worked here several years ago but haven't played it in several years so it was nice to come back.
